The Sweet Spot
The pickup is integrated into the guitar bridge assembly just forward of the string saddle. This is the most harmonically-rich point from which to capture the vibration of a string.

More Bass to Burn
Optical pickups can reproduce signals down to DC. Output from our system allows frequencies well below the staff to be reproduced at full strength. Since other pickups can't reach these lower frequencies, you probably have never really heard the true fundamental.

Choice
Metal compound strings are not required. The ability to use non-ferrous materials such as alloys, synthetics, and composites yields infinite tonal and visual possibilities.

iceToneTM
This feature allows the blending of the tailored piezo transducers built into each individual string saddle to avoid the clack and harshness typical of piezos while integrating seamlessly with the LightWave Optical Pickup. The result is a smooth, natural sounding high frequency enhancement ranging from crisp high end to percussive presence. iceTone cannot be selected separately, but is added to the optical signal as the control knob is turned up.

No Battery Worries
Several power options are offered. The standard NIMH battery packs will operate for about 16 hours playing time, with a 'two hours left' warning light on the bridge.
